Mr. Benjamin's practice focuses on commercial and complex civil litigation, and he has represented numerous corporate, governmental, and individual clients in California and Micronesia.  Recent engagements include representation of a large holding company in a civil action against former fiduciaries tied to on-going white-collar criminal prosecutions, and obtaining final approval of the $90 million settlement that resolved several competing class actions involving approximately 50,000 separate claims.  Mr. Benjamin regularly appears in both federal and local courts, including successful argument before the Ninth Circuit.

Prior to joining La Bella & McNamara, LLP, Mr. Benjamin was a partner with Calvo & Clark, LLP and an associate at Morrison & Foerster, LLP.  He served as a law clerk to the Honorable David R. Thompson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and as a judicial extern to the Honorable Anthony Kline, a Presiding Justice of the California Court of Appeal.  He is admitted to practice in California, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (Inactive), as well as before the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Southern and Northern Districts of California, the District Court of Guam, and the District Court of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

Mr. Benjamin received his J.D. in 2000 from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), where he was elected to the Order of the Coif, a member of the Moot Court Board, and the Senior Articles Editor and a Managing Editor of the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law.   Mr. Benjamin received his B.A. in 1997 from the University of California at Santa Cruz with Honors.
