Michael D. Liuzzi represents clients in their business, corporate, and real estate transactions. He also practices in the area of estate planning. Mr. Liuzzi's legal services combine more than 22 years of experience, reasonable fees, and a practical, efficient, problem-solving, goal-oriented approach.

Experience

Mr. Liuzzi has a diverse and extensive range of experience in business, corporate, and real estate transactions.

Business and corporate transactions include: the planning, formation and organization of Corporations, Partnerships, Limited Liability Companies, Joint Ventures, and other businesses; sales, acquisitions, mergers, reorganizations, and dissolution of businesses; negotiating and preparing employment, consulting, and independent contractor agreements; negotiating and preparing buy-sell and other stock related agreements; negotiating and preparing confidentiality and other business agreements; and licensing transactions. Mr. Liuzzi's broad experience enables him to handle substantially all of his client's business transactions.

Real Estate transactions include: sales, purchases, leases, and exchanges; negotiating and preparing construction contracts; and negotiating and preparing agreements for the joint ownership of real property.

Estate planning includes the preparation of Trusts and Wills.

Education

Mr. Liuzzi received his undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of San Diego in 1976. Before entering law school, he studied at Oxford University in England during the 1976-77 academic year. Mr. Liuzzi received his law degree in 1980 and a Master of Laws in Taxation in 1983, both from the University of San Diego School of Law.

Professional and Community Activities and Personal Background

Mr. Liuzzi is a member of the Business, Real Estate, Estate Planning, and Taxation sections of the California and San Diego County Bar Associations.

Mr. Liuzzi has been and continues to serve as a member of the University of San Diego Alumni Association Board of Directors since 1987. He was President of USD's Alumni Association in 1990-91, and is currently serving a second term as President of the Alumni Association.

Mr. Liuzzi is also a member of the University of San Diego School of Business Alumni Association Council, USD's National Council of Advisors which consults with the university's President on various issues, and the Search Committee for USD's next President.

Mr. Liuzzi lives in La Jolla and enjoys his two children and many athletic and outdoor activities, including kayaking, mountain and road biking, hiking, snow skiing, football, and any other sports that get him outside.
