Prior to joining La Bella & McNamara in 2010, Logan Smith worked for the Washington DC-based law firms of Zuckerman Spaeder LLP, which was named by American Lawyer magazine as one of the top five litigation boutiques in the United States, and Covington & Burling. Most recently, Logan served as a vice president and counsel to a client and the renewable energy company formed by his client.

During his legal career, Logan has represented clients in a range of matters including securities class action lawsuits and other business litigation, white-collar criminal defense, and governmental regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings. His clients have included corporate executives, accountants, corporations, and professional service firms in proceedings throughout the United States. His pro bono work has involved employment law, election law, and representing nonprofit organizations helping children in the organizations’ successful efforts to enhance pediatric testing requirements.

Logan served as a law clerk in 2002 to the Honorable Ellen Segal Huvelle of the United States District Court of the District of Columbia. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 2000. In 1996, Logan earned his B.A., summa cum laude, from Duke University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Logan earned an M.Sc. in 1997 from the University of Edinburgh’s Graduate School of Social and Political Studies, which he attended as a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar.

Logan currently lives in North San Diego County with his wife Jodi and dog Taz.
